About the Presenter ...
Hilda O’Callaghan is a qualified trainer who has facilitated learning for the past 30 years in Australia, South Africa,
West Africa, Europe and Asia. She is an accredited user of a number of international training programs and has also developed her own programs which she has delivered to thousands of workshop participants over the years. |
Qualifications and Work Experience:
A Bachelor of Arts with double majors in Psychology and Criminology. Honours Degree in Criminology specialising in Crime Prevention. Masters Degree in Training and Development, doing the research component on Emotional Intelligence.
Hilda is a Master Trainer for the Protective Behaviours Program. She has facilitated workshops for children, parents/carers and professionals in more than 10 countries around the world. She was instrumental in setting up Protective Behaviours Southern Africa and serves on the Board of Management.
Hilda is an Accredited De Bono Thinking Consultant, trained by Peter De Bono in Oxford, UK. De Bono components studied include CoRT Thinking and Six Thinking Hats for Schools. She has presented the De Bono Thinking tools at numerous schools in Perth as part of their Professional Development Programs and has also run creative thinking workshops for children.
She is a qualified Dispute Resolution Mediator and has worked as a mediator for the Citizen’s Advice Bureau in Perth for the past 25 years, mediating both Family and Community disputes.
Hilda is a trained Communication Specialist and an Accredited user of the highly acclaimed Talking and Listening Together Program. She is also a qualified Marriage and Relationship Educator and has conducted Pre-marriage and Marriage Enrichment workshops for groups of couples in Melbourne and Perth.
As a qualified workshop facilitator, she has run courses on a variety of topics including: Memory Skills, Study Skills (for adults and children), Effective Thinking and Emotional Intelligence.
